How to Give Commands in Chinese – HSK 2

In this HSK 2 reading practice we’ll take a look at some excerpts from a conversation between Little Ming and her mom. As you read through the text, you can also listen to a native speaker. These phrases we’ve chosen just show one side of the story; the other side is linked at the bottom of this post.

As you progress in your Chinese reading ability, you will be able to read more and more stories. Studies have shown that reading helps develop word mastery and grammatical understanding more than speaking. We recommend you read all that you can to bring your Chinese to the next level.

Study Tips:

  • Listen and follow along with a native speaker
  • Hover over any words you don’t understand
  • Try reading it without the pinyin
  • Practice with the full lesson
